Just exactly whose idea was it to wait until these lovelies turned red, anyway? I am having a very hard time NOT PICKING these! I really....really like fried green tomatoes! I realize that I should hold out and enjoy the yummy goodness of fresh ripe tomatoes, but on the other hand - I really... really like fried green tomatoes!

You have got to try Paula Deen'S Green Tomato Cake...it is out of this world. My family loves it. Be sure to chop the tomatoes very small.
