I'm in another one of my 'funks'.... :) Remember this quilt top from many months ago? Well... it's been officially classified as an UFO... Unfinished Object ... I really should drag it back out, BUT???

I really want to sew, I mean I really... really... really.... want to sew! I have an idea for a new quilt swimming around in my head, but I just can't seem to find the energy to make myself sit down and work on it. The reason for this is that I don't want to make a mess that I have to clean up. Does that make any sense?

I'm just soooooo sick of doing laundry, cleaning house, cooking, and constantly fighting the clutter, that I KNOW when I start on another sewing project the daily clutter and mess will overpower me and then on top of all of the usual backpack junk that gets dropped on my kitchen counters and table, I'll have my sewing machine set up and the materials for my quilt piled on the dining table.. and on and on and on... UGH... Oh.... just the thought of the clutter makes me cringe!

Either I need to just let go of the need for a clean home for a while or the need to create! Ya' know? With the hope of Spring just around the corner - both the NEED to create and NEED to clean are dueling within me.

I need some inspiration - to do something! Or else I'll just lie on my bed and watch lifetime movies from now until doomsday - and who gives a hoot about a clean house or a new quilt! LOL

((Amy))), I know exactly how you feel. It's called 'working for a living.' Once I get home from work and clean up (as I can't stand clutter either), there is no time nor energy to be creative.

In fact, one year, I took one week of my vacation when everyone was in school and at work. I spent the normal hours that I would have been at work, creating instead!

I actually can say I was okay with going back to work. It's hard to be that creative for that many hours per day! Plus I ended up with a whole lot of UFO's that disappeared!

It was a good fix!
